Quit Smoking With Hypnosis


If you have tried to stop smoking multiple times, but the best you could do was a few weeks or months as the cravings never went away, hypnosis might be worth a shot, as it is natural, unobtrusive and it can work.
What is hypnosis
You see, hypnosis is a fancy word that describes a way to get to a state you find yourself every day in. That is the mild trance state. A mild trance state is something you experience when you are so consumed by doing what you are doing that you do not notice anything around you.
For example, that may happen when you are reading a good book, or listening to your favorite band.
How it works
When you are in the hypnotic or trance like state, you have access to the part of your mind, the subconscious, which is capable of absorbing knowledge at alarming speeds, just like when you were a pre school child.
So, the first thing that a hypnotic session would do is get you to completely relax and focus on the hypnotists words. That may happen in his office, or even by listening to a mp3 or cd recording of a hypnotic session that you have at home.
Next, positive hypnotic suggestions would be spoken to you, ones that you would easily accept in that state. The suggestions would help you realize emotionally that smoking is bad for you and that you should stop.
The thing is that we all know that smoking is bad logically, but when you understand it on an emotional level, that is the time you will really be ready to quit.
Will it work for me
Basically, hypnosis works by repeating positive hypnotic suggestions to your subconscious. It means that it may not give instant results, but you will gradually find yourself less and less interested in cigarettes.
What you do need to keep in mind is that employing hypnosis as a means to stop smoking does work, but only if you really want to quit and give your best not to have just one more taste before you are done for good.
How it feels like
Hypnosis is quite enjoyable. During a session you are relaxed, clam, and most importantly focused on solving your problem and open to solutions.
You are completely aware at all times what is happening, and can stop the session at any moment. You never lose your consciousness; you are merely more open to suggestion while you are hypnotized.
